The City of Tallahassee invites you to a super edition of Movies in the Moonlight! “Superman” (2025 film) will fly onto the screen with his super dog, Krypto, for a free, family friendly event on Saturday, Nov. 8, in Cascades Park.
The excitement kicks off at 5 p.m. in the Adderley Amphitheater with a variety of activities for all ages. You can even channel your inner superhero (or villain) and take part in the costume contest!
"Superman," an action-packed PG-13 film, sees the title character face unintended consequences after intervening in an international conflict. With the help of Lois Lane and the Justice Gang, he must win back public support and stop Lex Luthor’s devious schemes, all while trying to rescue Krypto.
Food vendors will be on-site offering family-friendly dinner options, snacks and treats. Complimentary popcorn will also be available, while supplies last. Seats in the Adderley Amphitheater are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees can also bring a blanket and watch the movie from the grass at the back of the amphitheater.
The prior evening, Nov. 7, “A John Williams Cinematic Celebration” will fill The Adderley with cinematic sounds. This stirring tribute by the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra to one of the most iconic composers in film history will include musical selections from "Superman," "Star Wars,” “Jurassic Park,” “E.T.,” “Indiana Jones,” “Harry Potter,” “Jaws” and more. Gates open at 6 p.m., with showtime at 7:30 p.m. A general admission ticket costs $32 and can be purchased via TheAdderleyAmphitheater.com.
